With eight years, nine members and one fresh Boiler Room in their cap, Gentleman’s Dub Club hit 24 Kitchen Street this Friday. We’re expecting the whole roof to be blown away by rip-roaring ska from the enigmatic Yorkshiremen, having just dropped their latest single “Pressure”.
Initially known by relatively few, Gentleman’s Dub Club have been making gentle, yet significant waves on the surface of English music since 2006. Little is known of their close ties to Outlook and Dimensions festival in Croatia, nor is enough said of their support of underground music on our fair isle.
The Gentleman’s Dub Club have stayed smart through the years, pushing the right sort of sound, while sporting only the savviest suits onstage. Brought to Liverpool by the City Splash Festival and the critically acclaimed boys at Hot Plate, 24 Kitchen Street is going to need a new ceiling (again) come Saturday morning.
