Hard rock may be a genre which is largely believed to belong to another age, but you try telling that to Cambridge-based five-piece The Treatment. Their thrilling take on a seemingly stale style of music has seen them play the likes of Sonisphere and Download as well as taking part in 2012’s infamous The Tour alongside Kiss and Mötley Crüe. Even Slash got in on the act, as he hired the fresh-faced rockers as his support for his UK tour last year. Not a bad portfolio for a band who only released their debut three years ago. Bringing their most recent record Running With The Dogs to the East Village Arts Club this Sunday, The Treatment are set to reflect the vigour with which their live performances are becoming increasingly associated with, as well as a reminder that their classic form of rock wasn’t dead. It just needed a band like The Treatment to pick it back up again.
