Having been picked up by BBC Introducing Merseyside as well as recently in doing a session for Amazing Radio, it’s fair to say that John Joseph Brill is having a decent time of it. Debut single ‘Muscle and Bone’, to be released 16th March, only further reflects the talent holstered in Brill’s arsenal, proving himself to be a master of both the evocative and the tempered sides to music.
As it unfolds and unravels from a low-tempo ballad into a swirling epic, the grand nature of the track is what gives it both its emotional pull and reflects Brill’s sense of ambition. Beautifully composed and orchestrated so as to give each lyric space, Brill successfully delivers as a ballad with a dynamic which hits hard.
John Joseph Brill is to be releasing his debut EP in March via Killing Moon, and will be touring as the support for BC Camplight in the same month.
