Over the summer break, while students have been properly fed and washed back in their home towns, Chibuku Shake Shake have been planning an incredible mini festival to get the new term started. Utilising the Camp and Furnace’s spacious warehouse setting they have brought us 3 rooms of varied and excellent music from 2pm-11pm this Saturday 17th October. Room One is hosting the legendary Bonobo and Maya Jane Coles performing under her alias of ‘Nocturnal Sunshine’ – an appropriate name for Chibuku’s first daytime clubbing event.
Room 2 hosted by Ram Jam takes us to a world of jungle and bass music. It looks like old school legends Randall and DJ EZ are going to be facing off against their newer counterparts Special Request and Barely Legal. Who better to curate this showcase than David Rodigan MBE?
Room 3 is for all those who need a 4/4 beat to party with Bicep, Leon Vynehall and techno superstar Marcel Dettmann all making an appearance. Although there is the possibility to drink your weight in cheap Steins of German lager for Oktoberfest, I think it goes without saying that here is where the real party can be found in Liverpool this month.
