Fans Angry as Liam Gallagher Tickets Sell Out – FAST!

Anger and frustration eclipsed this morning’s general sale on social media from Liam Gallagher fans for his November/December ‘As You Were’ Tour, as tickets were quickly sold out on Ticketmaster and other vendors.

The general sale for tickets opened at 10:00am this morning, with fans up bright and early in anticipation for the mass of website traffic and the traditional ‘first come-first served’ ticket rush, only to find that tickets were not available after, what seems to be, only a few minutes. And according to speculation on social media, the tickets in question were already appearing on second-hand ticket tout sites for a doubled, or even tripled resale price.

It was widely reported yesterday that Liam Gallagher was already met with criticism for the sale of his pre-sale tickets, with fans branding it as a “farce” as tickets also sold very quickly, leaving other fans with little or no chance of purchasing them. Gallagher himself responded to the criticism on Twitter, and reassured his fans (in his own way) saying “COOL IT OUT”, and that more tickets were going on sale, but were enforcing on multiple ticket purchases per person.

After what seems to be a repeat of yesterday’s criticism this morning, will Liam Gallagher have to add more dates? Could the ticket vendors have done more to accommodate the fans?

Liam Gallagher’s ‘As You Were’ Tour spans the UK and finishes at the re-opened Manchester Arena on 16th December:

  • Dec 3rd – Leeds, First Direct Arena
  • Dec 4th – Glasgow, SSE Hydro
  • Dec 6th – Plymouth, Plymouth Pavilions

  • Dec 12th – Birmingham, Birmingham Arena
  • Dec 13th – Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena
