Though details regarding plans are limited, it looks like a new ‘boutique hotel’ could open in Concert Square.
The Holmes Building, which was previously home to club Ruby Sky, is set to have its first floor converted if plans go ahead. The entrance to the hotel would be on Fleet Street.
This is in addition to plans submitted earlier this year for a new nightclub on the lower floors of the Holmes Building. The JSM Bar and Leisure Group have already registered for permission to create a new bar area as well as a new entrance for the club.
Snook Architects are designing the new club. Their designs have also been used for fellow city nightclubs Black Rabbit and Soho.
Should this ‘boutique hotel’ become reality, however, visitors to the city will be able to stay right at the centre of Liverpool’s bustling nightlife.
The news of this proposed development comes at a time where plans to develop Concert Square have also included the building of apartments.
