Kerri Caskie, a student in the University of Liverpool’s School of Law and Social Justice, has won £44,000 on the lottery.

The 18 year old from Wavertree won the money after entering the ‘Win Your Student Dream’ competition in the Liverpool Echo.

An aspiring criminal law barrister, the first year law and criminology student plans to use her winnings to help her achieve her career goals.

According to the UoL’s website, Kerri commented on her win, saying:

When they told me I’d won, I just couldn’t believe it. I was shaking and my heart was pounding. I was so shocked I didn’t take anything in when he was talking to me so I had to ring the Echo back an hour later to go over it again!
