Register to Vote in the General Election

Are you going to be in Liverpool on 8th June? Are you going to be at home?

It doesn’t matter where you are; you can still register to vote in the General Election! As a student, you can register at both your term time and home address, but can only vote at one. So even if you don’t know where you’re going to be, you can still register now and vote wherever you are at the time!

With everything that’s going on right now in higher education, as 18-24 year olds we need to make our voices heard! Currently only 55% of us (18-24 year olds, that is) are registered to vote. Compare that to the fact that more than 90% of people over 65 are registered, and you can see at the moment there’s no way that next month’s voting stats are going to give an accurate representation of young people’s views.

So how can you make you voice heard? REGISTER TO VOTE HERE and hop along to your local polling station on the 8th June (and you can only vote if you’ve registered – so get on it!)

You must register by 11:59pm on 22nd May to vote in the General Election on 8th June.
